Most important to Jessie, and her greatest treasure, was her family. Songer, 87, of La Crescent, Minn passed away at Franciscan Skemp Healthcare Medical Center in La Crosse on Wednesday, May 12, 2010.

Lucy was born on March 9, 1914, at home in Cherry Valley, Pa., a coal miner's daughter to Massimo "Frank" and Melina Fontanesi Re-Mason. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing out on the town with her husband, creating oil paintings and drawings together, the activities at the Over the Hill Gang, socializing, eating her chocolates and of course going out to eat lobster.

13, 2010, at O'Brien's Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, following a brief illness. Songer had worked during World War II as a bookkeeper, secretary and sales clerk for Polligans Music Store in Farrell, Pa. She was raised Catholic and had recently attended Brookfield United Methodist Church.

A strong believer in family values, Lucille taught her children these ideals and to value life, instilling joy into the hearts of all her family and friends.

Her family would also like to acknowledge with special thanks to her doctors, nurses, aides and caregivers for their loving care and compassion. Belletete, age 82, of Matthews, NC, died peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2010 in Charlotte, NC.

Born May 12, 1928 in Orange, MA, she was a daughter of the late John and Jessie Kimball Songer.

In 1953, she moved to Winchendon, MA, later moving to Florida in 1979 with her husband. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Roland Belletete, originally from Winchendon; her children, Cynthia Ruschioni and Alan Belletete, both of Winchendon, Elena Chevalier of Benton, NH, Roy Belletete of Dania Beach, FL, and Anthony Belletete of Matthews, NC; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.Also surviving are her sisters, Mildred Bianchi, Clara Wesockes, and Freda Songer; and brothers, Lawrence, Frank and Denis Songer; along with dozens of nieces and nephews.She was a loving mother to her daughter, Dana Basse, who was her caregiver, and her husband Paul, both of Brookfield; and to her son, Mark Songer and his life partner, Erin, and her children, twins Blake and Caitlin, and granddaughter, Emma, all of Ashville; a gracious sister to her brother, Gordon Mason and his wife, Jewell, both of Sterling, Va.; a proud grandma to her grandchildren, Tahnee Blauser and her husband, William, and their children Benjamin, Christopher and twins Anna and Abby, Tiffanee Barnes and her husband, Jonathan, and their daughter Giana, Heather Walters and her husband, Jimmy, and their sons Thomas and Anthony, Katianne Songer, and Robert Songer and his fiancee, Ruth; by her daughter-in-law, Joanne Songer; and by her numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Lucy was greeted in heaven by her parents; by her husband, who died in 1990; by her son, Thomas, who died in 1992; by her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Songer, who died in 2008; by her brothers, Raymond and Charles; and by her sister, Louise Wise.A memorial service in honor of Lucille's life will be held at 4 p.m.Saturday at Brookfield United Methodist Church, where friends and family may call from 3 p.m. Her family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Brookfield Library.
